NEW “SUPERFLOW GARNET”
1st in the world MOISTURE RESISTANT GARNET
What is SuperFlow Garnet?
Our patented “SuperFlow” is a moisture resistant coating that coats the garnet. The Garnet then actually resists absorption of water, moisture and humidity. To our knowledge it is a world first.
What are the benefits of using SuperFlow?
- Use up to 30% less garnet
- Have the edge on your competitors by reducing clogging and flow problems.
- Extend shelf life
- Decrease Valuable down time
- Reduce maintenance and running costs
- Increase working efficiency
- Able to blast in adverse weather condition
In the normal blasting process when moisture problems occur, operators need to open their main media valve to maintain media flow. This does not prevent clogging problems but increases the valve orifice allowing more media into the blast line, as some of the garnet is clogged together. With SuperFlow Garnet, the flow ability is increased and there is minimal need to open the valve. This can have savings of up to 30% less media usage.
How far open are your valves Currently?
Have the edge on your competitors by reducing clogging and flow problems
Extend shelf life Due to no moisture absorption; product stays dryer much longer.
Decrease major flow problems As moisture does not coat the garnet granules, flow problems are alsodramatically reduced.
Decrease valuable downtime Clogging and flow problems currently plague the blasting industry due to moisture. With SuperFlow Garnet, these problems are dramatically reduced and downtime costs are saved.
Reduce maintenance costs With the reduction of downtime also come the reduction of maintenance and the costs involved as the two often come hand in hand.
Increase efficiency Work efficiency is increased with the reduction of moisture problems.
Able to reach dead lines As work efficiency is increased, it allows the business to be able to reach more deadlines and reliability becomes a major prominent part of the business.
Able to take on more contracts If reliability is something you can now rely on, it allows the business to be able to take on more contracts than ever before.
Reduce customer and downtime costs Not only does SuperFlow Garnet help your own business, but customers also save on waiting costs. (Wages, equipment hire, insurances, associated fees such as docking or storage fees).
No need to rely on good weather for blasting Weather plays a large role in the blasting industry, especially in humid regions. With SuperFlow Garnet, weather conditions do not stop progress when meeting deadlines and customer maintenance periods.
Reduce running costs such as diesel or electricity In some certain cases, when performing mobile work and a dryer of after cooler can not be used, diesel or electricity cost would be saved as there would be no load on the compressor or no power would be needed.
In some cases keep blasting if dryer, air prep, after cooler or water separator break down In most cases, when air prep systems break down, blasting would stop. SuperFlow garnet allows the user to keep blasting with minimal interference.
SuperFlow has been lab tested and has shown NO petrol hydrocarbons or chloride levels. Impressive adhesion and weather tests have been performed by leading paint manufacturer. Our SuperFlow process does not chemically change or contaminate the original blasting media product.
What is the cost for SuperFlow?
Final costs of SuperFlow depend on a number of factors.
- Quantity: The larger the quantity, the more cost effective the process can be.
- Type of Blasting Media: There are also many different types of blasting media on the current market with different price ranges. This will in turn reflect on the overall total cost to SuperFlow a blasting media.
For a guideline pricing structure for our SuperFlow ability, work on approximately a 30% increase per tonne. Keep in mind that the user can use up to 30% less in garnet or other blasting media usage with the added benefits of the above advantages.
Can any other blasting medias be treated?
ASBS also provide a service where clients can send their own product to our factory. ASBS will then Super Flow their product and delivered back to the client. ASBS to date, have SuperFlowed Garnet, Sodium Bicarbonate, Limestone, Plastic, glass beads and staurolite to name but a few.
MOISTURE is one of the largest problems facing the conventional blasting industry. To overcome this problem, most blasting companies simply do not blast during wet, rainy or even humid conditions. This in turn will result in major delays when work efficiency is needed to complete work. Vast amount of funds are spent trying to cope with this problem including the uses of very expensive dryers, moisture control blasting rooms and still the problem continues UNTIL NOW.
SUPERFLOW GARNET The photo below shows a water droplet sitting on top of a mound of Indian garnet. This particular super flow mix will allow the water droplet to evaporate from the garnet before it actually soaks into the garnet. In a controlled atmosphere the water droplet will remain on the garnet for a 24 hour period.
